Picture Day / Bat-a-Thon!

We’re excited for our upcoming Picture Day and Bat-A-Thon that is scheduled for March 30th! This is a fun and important event for our players, and we want to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Team and individual photos will be taken prior to your team’s Bat-A-Thon time slot. This ensures that everyone has time to participate in the team photo without feeling rushed before heading to their Bat-A-Thon session. Once photos are complete, players will proceed directly to their designated Bat-A-Thon time slot. We will share the detailed picture schedule soon and email each team parent with the specific time your team should arrive for photos. A copy will also be posted at the snack shack for easy reference.

The Bat-A-Thon is our league’s biggest fundraiser of the season! Last week, your player received a link to 99 Pledges to share and collect donations. If you prefer, there is also a donation sheet available for collection available at the snack shack. Players should gather donations prior to the Bat-A-Thon event and submit the completed donation sheet with collected donations to their team parent on the day of the event. The team parent will verify that the total donations match what was collected before sending the player to participate in the Bat-A-Thon.

Bat-A-Thon Event Details

Each team will be assigned a time slot to come onto the Majors field and take turns hitting off a tee. Players will have 3 attempts each. There are two exciting ways to win a prize:

Target Challenge: Targets will be set up on the infield. Any player who hits a target will get to choose a prize at the end of their three attempts.

Farthest Hit: The farthest ball hit by a player in each division will be measured, and the player with the longest distance will win a $100 gift card of their choice.

Additionally, the player who raises the most money overall will win the Grand Prize: a Boombah Baseball Bag filled with Live Oak Little League gear. The team that raises the most money within their division will earn an ice cream party for their team. Gift card prizes will be awarded later in the season at our Movie Night event.
