Fall baseball camps through SC Parks and Rec

Camp Descriptions:
Baseball Camp:
Want to get “warmed up” for baseball in the Spring? Want to get ahead of everybody else? Little League and Pony League are right around the corner. Get prepared for tryouts. After talking to most of the Little League managers, we have geared the instruction of this camp to prepare the players for tryouts. Come join us on Saturdays at Harbor High’s awesome turf baseball field! (Rain or shine). This camp is designed to instruct players of all skill levels in catching, throwing, hitting, fielding, pitching, base running and baseball appreciation. Individualized instruction will be the focus at skill stations and wiffle ball games will provide added fun. We will also be using technology to measure exit velocity for each player’s swing. All campers will receive a baseball camp T-shirt! See you soon!

Tee Ball Camp:
This tee ball camp is designed for young children to start their journey of baseball. They'll learn the proper techniques for hitting, throwing, catching, fielding and running in a non-competitive environment. Come join us on Saturdays at Harbor High’s awesome turf baseball field! (Rain or shine). Individualized instruction will be the focus at skill stations and wiffle ball games will provide added fun. All campers will receive a baseball camp t-shirt! See you soon!

 

Infield Clinics:
Want to get better as an infielder? These infield clinics are taught by local Coach Colten Young, one of the best infield instructors on the Central Coast! The infield clinics will focus on quality instruction, high repetitions and breakdowns on infield mechanics. These clinics are designed to cover proper fielding posture, hand action, footwork, double play feeds, relays, arm slots and much more. Each camper must bring their own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats and/or running shoes, and any other equipment they feel is necessary to have fun. These clinics will happen rain or shine.

Outfield Clinics:
Want to get better as an outfielder? These outfield clinics are taught by Coach Mitchell Garrity, a former collegiate player. These outfield clinics will focus on quality instruction, high repetitions and breakdowns on outfield mechanics. This clinic is designed to cover proper fielding posture, pre/post pitch positioning, footwork, drop steps, relays, arm slots and much more. Each camper must bring their own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats and/or running shoes, and any other equipment they feel is necessary to have fun. These clinics will happen rain or shine.

Baseball Speed Development Clinics:
Want to get faster? These speed development clinics are taught by Coach Mitchell Garrity, a former collegiate player. These speed clinics will focus on quality instruction, high repetitions and breakdowns on speed training mechanics. Baseball is a sport that requires high maximal power output and sprinting is a skill requiring maximal power output. Each camper must bring their own baseball equipment. Players should bring cleats and/or running shoes, and any other equipment they feel is necessary to have fun. These clinics will happen rain or shine.

Catching Clinics:
Want to get better as a catcher? These catcher clinics are taught by local high school Coach Alex Adkins. The catching clinic will focus on quality instruction and high repetitions. These clinics are designed to cover footwork, core strengthening and flexibility, throwing, blocking, receiving and the mental game. Each camper can bring their own catching equipment. Players should bring a catcher’s glove/glove, cleats and/or running shoes, and any other equipment they feel is necessary to have fun. These clinics will happen rain or shine.
